Yume Tre Autoctoni
Yume, this is Japanese word and means something like "dream". And it is truly a dream, the vintage Caldora Vini Yume Tre Autoctoni Supreme Italian Red, which was vinified from three indigenous grape varieties in central and southern Italy. The Montepulciano, Primitivo and Nerello Mascalese varieties come from old vines with minimal yields and result in a wine with a lot of expression and charm.
40% Montepulciano | 40% Primitivo | 20% Nerello Mascalese
The Caldora Vini Yume Tre Autoctoni Supreme Italian Red rests in a strong purple with violet accents and immediately seduces with an enchanting nose with well-ripened dark berry notes of blackberry jelly and blueberries, supported by the finest nougat and crémant chocolate, as well as a little liquorice.
The aromas on the palate are Mediterranean, very powerful and finely textured. Here, too, we encounter the delicious berry fruit and a wonderful roasted aroma. The well integrated tannins are just barely noticeable.
The finale is concentrated and very compact.
The wine is made from the motto: Only the very best is good enough. That is why we have tried to find the best grape varieties in Abruzzo, Manduria and Sicily, respectively. After long research and experimentation, the highly qualified grape varieties Montepulciano, Primitivo and Nerello Mascalese were found on ancient vines. Each grape variety is classic Italian grapes, each representing the expression in their area superbly best. They have all been allowed to dry a little directly on the sticks to obtain a greater concentration in the grapes. Then they are hand-picked in small baskets so that no grapes burst during transport to the wine cellar. In other words, there is full control from start to finish.
The selected grapes each have their own distinctive characteristics.
Montepulciano contributes with color, fullness and high alcohol percentage. In this case, the primitivrupe also gives color and fullness, but is chosen because of its rich fruit flavor and pleasant acid and tannin levels. Nerello Mascalese is the Sicilian finesse that rounds off the entire symphony. With its many, fine velvety tannins and a taste and structure that can easily lead the mind to wines from far cooler regions. Despite the fact that the grape is picked up in the hot Sicily, you get a taste of both Barolo and Burgundy. All in all, it must be said to be an extremely successful composition.
Yume Tre Autoctoni is sweeping beautiful, deep red in the glass. Intriguing to the nose and palate with a persistent aroma of cherries, plum, ripe blackcurrants and tobacco and a finishing touch of something toasted. Large-bodied structure with many, velor-like tannins. Incredibly persistent, almost indestructible aftertaste with exciting, spicy notes of vanilla and chocolate. Yum!
We recommend Yume for red meat or game with a strong sauce for. It is also great with strong flavored cheeses. Serve the wine at a starting temperature of about 18 degrees.
