Vinification: The grapes were hand-crushed into 15-pound crates, shredded and peeled immediately. Vinification was carried out at 15-18 ° C for two weeks in a stainless steel container. After a few months of ripening on the lees, the wine was poured, roughly filtered and bottled in April.
Story: The first records of the wine tradition in our family date back to 1894, when Matija Šuklje received a loan of 140 goldinarians for the restoration of the vineyard after the devastation of the vine. From this period onwards, the wine tradition on our farm goes from generation to generation. Today, our 6.5 ha large estate is run by the sixth and seventh generations of Šukljet's, namely Father Joze, baby Matija and Katja, and French son-in-law Guillaume. While in the 1990s, Joze transferred traditional wine-making business into the modern age, the youngest generation today brings international experience to the family's wine story.
