Nicolas Joly Clos de la Bergerie 2016
Bright golden yellow from intensive contact with the shell. Subtle nose, extremely light stone and fine, salty, delicate fruit. Light smoke, dusty road, delicate white vineyard peach with Williams pear. Muscular yet supple in the mouth, slightly unripe pineapple and slightly vegetable, a hint of sauerkraut. Straightforward and highly complex. Aromas of citrus, white currant, flowers and lots of minerals. A bit of Pinot Blanc style is fun and very fine and creamy. Peach kernel, still green almonds, ginger, in addition to grapefruit and light rock in the finish. Prancing complex and extremely fine and harmonious. Like the Coulée de Serrant, very, very independent, but less extreme, creamy and somewhat uncomplicated and open, more accessible.
