Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Aux Boudots 2013
The Aux Boudots was simply awesome in 2013. Initially there is a reduction in the bouquet, then a clear sour cherry comes into its own, minimal rum pot fruits, whereby the fine berry predominates, then clove. The N-S-G has a great balance on the palate, here you can taste slightly darker fruits, we are not in Chambolle-Musigny or Vosne-Romanée either. Nevertheless, this is a very elegant Nuits-St-Georges, which can easily keep up with the transparency of a Clos de la Marechale from Mugnier. You would blindly locate him in a different appellation, because this is highly noble, super clear and focused material. One of the best from Nuits-St-Georges, also because no new wood is used, making it even clearer.
