The Gordon & MacPhail Private Collection range includes very old and rare single malt Scotch whiskies, all selected from members of the Urquhart family.
Every single bottling is therefore an incredible rarity.

Some are inseparable, almost identical in character and stature. Others develop differently and want to explore and live out their individuality.
Such as the 'Twin' bottlings of the Private Collection from the Longmorn Distillery.
The twin brothers Stuart and Richard Urquhart have put two malts into different oak barrels on the same day and thus created the oldest Longmorn Single Malts.

It all began on February 2, 1961 when George Urquhart commissioned the Longmorn Distillery to fill sherry casks.
Two whiskies with the same DNA - the only difference is the cask type.
Cask 508 was made from European oak (English oak), while cask 512 was made from American oak (white oak).
Both whiskies were thus able to develop their individual character over the next 57 years.

The Longmorn with Cask No. 508 matures for 57 years in European first-fill sherry barrels.
The longmorn with Cask No. 512 matures for 57 years in American first-fill sherry barrels.
