The Floki Icelandic Single Malt is named after the discoverer of Iceland Hrafna-Flóki (Floki of the ravens).
In addition to the two standard fillings, Eimverk Distillery also produces various barrel finish fillings.
Eimverk Distillery is very keen to experiment with double oak bottlings.
This whisky matures in casks where the Young Malt was matured before - in Sheep Dung Young Malt casks and Young Malt casks.
The finsih is done in mead casks - mead is better known as mead wine.
Flóki Icelandic Double Wood Reserve Single Malt Whisky is neither cold filtered nor coloured.
Nose: Sweet aromas, fresh hay aroma, honey, spices.
Taste: Oily mouthfeel, intense spice, honey, fruit, toffee.
Finish: Long lasting, spicy, mocha.
