Farnese Vigneti del Vulture Aglianico Del Vulture Piano Del Cerro 2018
Italian wines continue to surprise you. This one comes from Basilicata, from the volcanic soils of the Vulture. The vineyards are high, some even at 7 meters. The local aglianico grape feels at home at that cool altitude. Aglianico is a late bloomer and at height it is given ample time to mature and develop fragrant aromas. From this winery Farnese makes this full, juicy wine with stimulating acids. It is made to eat with, but just a glass with a firm cheese is also good. Fantini Farnese is known for its typical Italian regional wines, made from the local grape varieties, but always with a fresh, fruity twist.
