The Emperor Rum is a mixture of different rums of the island Mauritius. This rum is made of fresh sugar cane juice (40%) and 60% molasses. It is aged in American and French oak barrels for 5-12 years. The Emperor Mauritian Rum Sherry Finish is given a 6-month finish in sherry casks before bottling.
Nose: sugar cane, exotic fruits, flowers, pepper, spices.
Taste: Woody, caramel, vanilla, dried fruit, almonds, spices.
Finish: Long lasting, delicate, smoky.
