Chacra Sin Azufre Pinot Noir 2017
There are no 5,000 bottles of this wine. This is an unsulfurized Pinot Noir. But that is much more conventional than, for example, the Burgundy from Prieuré Roch. You would probably not blindly tap on a natural wine. You can feel the difference here in the clear and softer fruit, I think. It is also unfiltered. This is Pablo's heart project. In principle, grape material from the Cinquenta-y-Cinco vineyard. Everything biodynamic management, although not certified. Fermentation in 600L vats, aging in used barriques for only 11 months. The bouquet shows raspberry, some strawberry and sour cherry. Very clear and puristic. Very slim and straightforward on the palate. But the wine is under pressure. However, this is not defined by powerful tannins. Everything seems calm and balanced in itself. Pinot Noir with a lot of potential. A quiet and therefore all the more fascinating wine that does not remind of Burgundy or of the new world. This is how Pinot from Argentina tastes. Independent and good. The dream wine made by the nephew of the Tuscan Sassicai winery, Piero Incisa della Rocchetta, already received 97 points from James Suckling in previous years. Probably not a bad reference.
