Cahors Vieilles Vignes Le Cedre 2018
100% Malbec. 50% maturation in new barriques for two months, yield approx. 30 hl / ha. Very complex but also delicate nose: red berries, marzipan, plums, again marzipan and blueberries. The first taste is seductively elegant and incredibly playful, but it is also characterized by its finely chased density. With every second, its intensity on the palate seems to grow. However, the presence of power remains restrained, the perfect tannin makes it possible. The finest Le Cedre that Pascal Verhaege has ever made, along with the very similar 2009s, 2010s and 20112s, but probably also the best.
