Pinot Noir is often noted for its natural ability to be lighter than other red wines and have low tannin, but we chose to ferment our wine with whole grape clusters to increase tannin. This technique is rarely practiced on wine varieties other than Pinot Noir. The tannin added a longer runway of life for the wine to age for at least 10 years.

Pinot noir grapes are grown in the cooler climate, and for this reason sub-Mediterranean Bela Krajina with the average temperature of about  10° C and a rainfall of up to 1300 mm is a perfect location. The vineyard is spreading along slopes in terraced rows in a Guyot style of vine training. The harvesting is manual in order to provide the highest quality of wine production.
